I Love this place!! Every Friday night I usually get A steak bowl. It is not to filling but just right. The service line is usually long but quick. This is a great place to get a quick bite! :-)

I eat at chipotle in Round Lake at least once a week, today will be my last visit! I ordered a burrito bowl for my wife and another for myself, besides the lack of personality from the staff, I was SHOCKED to find a strand of hair tangled among the lettuce. I approached a member of the staff and asked for my money back, at first she was pleasant until I told her I wanted a full refund, her attitude became worse. She gave me my refund and walked away, I asked if anyone was going to apologize and she said sorry, I asked for the corporate # and of course " she doesn't have it" I told her I needed the corporate contact info or I would contact the health dept and she told me that was fine because she didn't have the corporate or district office #, I told her she should dispose of the lettuce of the bin and she told me that was none of my business.

Chipotle should be my middle name, I love it that much. Lol There is not one thing on the menu I dislike, unless you count sour cream. They have good service here, though not as speedy as some, they will go the extra mile for you; like finding some plain jalepenos (pre salsa mixing) to add into my quesadilla. I like to also get a small side of barbacoa au jus to take home with my order, make rice the next day, and add it in. Double yum! :) My faves are the bowls (fajita style- peppers and onions) , the trio of tacos (get it with a different meat in each taco), and a carnitas quesadilla. Oh, and now I'm drooling. LOL BTW, the quick fix margaritas are strong, cheap and will have you drunk calling friends-- I speak from experience! As I said, it's not as fast paced (or efficient) as most of the other Chipotles are, but I kinda like that! And I really hate the seating, so uncomfortable, but it's too late. I'm addicted.

Handful of customers commented on few of the staff more interested in what they did last night than acknowledge the customers. Short line but long wait as their conversation was more important. One customer found the courage to yell out "get to work" which resulted in most of the customers yelling more and clapping. Manager made his way out of the office and asked one staff member to leave. Customers clapped even more. The other who stilll has a job began working with the manager at his side. Experience left a bad image and this is not the first I have seen staff members in the back more interested in socializing than working. Manager seemed to understand and gave people in line free drinks. Their iced tea is great! I wont be back here and will think twice about going to any chipotle. I will go to Mexican restaurant where i will pay a little over a dollar more and get a bigger burrito with sides of rice and beans. This experience, by the way was epic and hats off to the gentleman who yelled out and changed the dynamic behind the counter.

This location really does not do the brand justice. My burrito bowl was skimpy. I had to dig around to get a decent bite. I usually can take half home. There was not enough in the bowl to even eat half there. The tables were dirty, and the guy who made our food acted like he couldn't stand to be there. I would not go back to this location again.

Horribly unorganized staff. The manager is sitting at a table flirting with some girl. The cashier has to leave the register every 30 seconds to ask the manager something. The first guy in the food assembly line puts rice and meat into a bowl, or on a tortilla then slides it to the 2nd guy in the assembly line who is to scared to speak up to customers and ask what they want. He is also to scared to let his fellow employees know he needs salsa, cheese, and sour cream. So now there are 8-10 burrito bowls sitting there waiting for ingredients and the 1st guy keeps adding more to the line. The 2nd guy doesn't know what to do so he walks away. A 3rd guy comes out, sees there is no cheese, sour cream, or salsa. So he goes and gets some. Worthless bunch of people working there. (But they all think they are worth $15 an hour)

Its ok. The food is decent, but the last time my husband and I ate there, we were both so sick. He doesn't mind attempting Chipotle again, but im not going to. The grocery store with the taqueria inside is better and less expensive. EDIT: I've been back MANY times since, having given Chipotle another try. I changed up my order. I no longer order the meat, so i opt for a veggie salad. EXCELLENT. Lettuce as the base, cilantro lime rice, black beans, EXTRA pico, sour cream, and cheese. ALL AMAZING.

First time at this location. Will not be back. I've been a vegetarian for over 25 years. Most of the time when I eat Mexican food I order tortillas with lettuce, cheese, and tomato. I know this sounds strange but I love it and have been eating it for years. Whenever I go to Chipotle (few times a month) this is what I order. Today I visited the Round Lake store as I just moved to the area and was totally disappointed by what they charged me. At every other location I have been to, they usually charge me a veggie line item, the total usually equals less than $5-6 (still high, but acceptable). Today the cashier said she couldn't do that for me. She charged me $9!! It probably costs the company $.50 to make my entire meal! Especially when they give me only 10 shreds of cheese. No other Mexican restaurants charge me that much. Total rip off! Chipotle, you can thank your employee, Fabiola for losing a loyal customer.

Chipotle is delicious. I almost always get a delicious burrito from chipotle but for some reason at this location, they like to be cheap on the meat. The worker scooped up a super small amount of Barbacoa and I was like,"Really!!!?"

Ugh, this last time the steak in my burrito was not cooked very well! Made my husband return it for a refund.... They couldn't care less at this establishment! From now on if we want Chipotle we will be going to Gurnee!

Once and a while my girlfriend and I come to this chipotle when she's done with her night class. Last night we got there right before 9:30, rushing around trying to get there as early as possible because we have had some bad experiences before close to closing time. However last night was some of the worst customer service we've had in our life. First off 2 people saw us standing in line and simultaneously tried to ignore us. after glancing at us both twice and looking at each other one of them finally decided that we weren't going away and finally "helped" us out, like they were doing us a huge favor. Forget about friendly service, the people here barely acknowledge your existence as a human being. I'm not going to lie and say we were waiting for five minutes, or expect someone to roll out the red carpet, a simple hi, sorry i'll be with you in a minute would have been more than enough, not a look up on crap maybe they saw me, better look down while i continue to stack baskets with paper, and let me grab something and run to the back while i pretend i don't see you standing there. So whatever, the staff wasn't the most friendliest in the world, it's still chipotle and at least i can go home and enjoy some good food. Well we were told they were out of brown rice. I don't think there was some brown rice shortage going on just they didn't feel like making anymore for the rest of the night so when the ran out they ran out. When i got home and ate it about five minutes later I come to find out that the steak was cold. Not warm, legit cold. Which makes me wonder just how long all that food has been sitting out for. Again I understand not wanting to waste, but you should have cold meat a half and hour before you close. Finally when we were done the lady couldn't run away fast enough she was practically cleaning the tables before the credit card was done processing. I understand the people don't want to be at work all night, and i really hate to come into a place at the last minute, but we rushed around so we could be there as early as possible and I think that a half hour before closing is a decent amount of time, not ideal, but certainly not the end of the world, and not deserving of the lack of service that we received. This isn't a knock of Chipotle in general, I love their food on a normal basis, I just won't be giving my business to this particular store anymore, especially when there's another one in gurnee thats about nearly the same distance.

I haven't ever been a true fan of Chipotle and the food they serve. It's over-priced and the portions aren't all that good. I was crazy about when it first opened but there are a ton better fast-food restaurants nearby that's better and cheaper. Every time I come to this Chipotle, they always charge me for my orders wrong, the drinks they have are flat and nasty and it isn't all that clean in my opinion either. There are always little crumbs left behind from the other diners recently there. Management doesn't seem to care about the restaurant because when the cashier tells him they rung me up wrong, he just laughs and corrects it. No sorry, no free small soft drink, nothing? The least you could do was make eye contact with me and say sorry. Chipotle is not my favorite, particularly this location just because the service is poor, the food isn't all that great and it's over-priced. Whenever I came here, I never felt welcomed, never felt appreciated, I never felt like a valued customer that I am. I don't recommend you come here, it isn't as great as everyone says Chipotle is. Thanks but no thanks... I'm not coming back, it isn't worth my time or money. Sorry.

In general I love Chipotle. My husband and I generally eat Chipotle once every month-every 6 weeks, but we have consistently been disappointed by this specific location - something that did not happen when we lived in Des Plaines. At this location they have forgotten the chips for my chips and salsa three out of the last four times that I have been there. My husband also complains each time that they are making the burritos smaller and smaller. There does not seem to be consistency in this location, nor attention to detail. I am sure that they are often busy, but still - I would like my orders correct and in full the majority of the time. That being said, the food is generally good and so I arrive at this 2-star rating.

My husband and I are chipotle lovers. We love going there for lunch and dinner. The lunch time crew does need to take some lessons from the dinner time crew. The lunch time crew is very cold and unwelcoming at times, the females in particular. The dinner time crew is very uplifting and welcoming. On average I would say Chipotle in Round Lake Beach gets about $120 a month from my husband and I. It would be more if the lunch crew was nicer.

Today while my husband and I were enjoying our as always delicious lunch at Chipotle, I was observing the staff. To us and every customer after, we were all greeted with a very friendly hello and genuine smiles. The counter crew moved all of us in line very quickly and efficiently. What I enjoyed most about watching the staff was the interactions among them with each other. Each and everyone was happy, energetic, and worked together as a true team, even those I could see in the back room preparing foods for the counter. The dining area was filled with customers, and every time a diner finished and got up to leave, the table was quickly wiped clean for the next person. What a great experience.

I'm a fan of Chipotle, so I was happy when this location opened a bit closer to our house. The only negative of this location is that the assembly line isn't very well synchronized. At first, I attributed it to a new location with new employees still figuring things out, but the problem has persisted for a few months. It's not a huge problem but it does mean that the line backs up, especially when they're busy. EDIT: The map marker is in completely the wrong location. Looking at the map, you'd think that this was south of Washington Ave near Brittany Square. This Chipotle is actually a bit north of here; still on Route 83, but north of Rollins Rd near the corner of 83 and Hook Dr.

Um... This is a chain. It was better when McDonald's owned it. The burritos now have too much rice, not enough meat, and the rice is too salty. Barely ok with very noisy seating (by design) to keep the clientele moving out of there after it becomes too annoying.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
